The Five Pillars of Islam

Hallo! So in all honesty this really should have been my first post, but better late than never right? If you’re a practicing Muslims you can more or less ignore this post because you probably know all this already, but hey who knows maybe you might learn something new.
First: Faith in Allah and his messenger. “La illaha ilala Muhammadur rasululah”. Which translates to “there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger” (see below for the correct way to pronounce it if you don’t know)
Second: Prayer. A Muslim has 5 daily obligatory prayers carried out at different times during the da.
·        Fajr- morning prayer
·        Dhuru- afternoon prayer
·        Asr- evening prayer
·        Maghrib- sunset prayer
·        Isha- night prayer
Third: Fasting. During the month of Ramadan (Islamic calendar follows moon cycle) Muslims from all around the world *fast from sunrise to sunset.
Fourth: Charity. Islam places a great importance on giving money to the poor.
Fifth: Pilgrimage. It is required for a Muslim who has enough money and is in good health to go to Saudi Arabia to complete pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime.
